What Is SpurrOpen?

SpurrOpen is a Jamaican-built online platform that brings e-commerce, event ticketing, and donations into one seamless ecosystem. It was created by Spurr Empire Ltd to help Jamaicans “engage your audience and have them support online,” without the need for coding, a developer, or a full website.

At its core, SpurrOpen allows MSMEs, churches, charities, schools, event promoters, and content creators to collect payments online easily. Users simply create a Store Page, Event Page, or Donation Page, and SpurrOpen provides the page, checkout flow, and payment processing. Unlike traditional gateways, SpurrOpen is a complete web platform, similar in spirit to a mix of GoFundMe, Eventbrite, and a basic online store builder—customized for Jamaica and the diaspora.

The platform supports credit and debit cards (Visa/Mastercard), and uniquely, it integrates with NCB’s Lynk wallet so customers can pay using bank transfers or JAM-DEX inside the checkout. This makes SpurrOpen one of the first solutions in Jamaica to bring digital wallet payments and traditional card payments together.

SpurrOpen is used by dozens of Jamaican churches, schools, community groups, youth clubs, and entrepreneurs. Churches accept tithes online; schools collect fees; small businesses sell products; promoters sell tickets; charities receive donations from Canada, the US, and the UK—all without needing their own website. It has also been featured by the Ministry of Industry, Investment & Commerce in MSME outreach events, recognizing its role in digital empowerment.

With built-in pages, secure processing, API-powered integrations (like Zoom webinar automation and Vimeo monetization), and simple payouts via bank transfer or PayPal, SpurrOpen offers one of the easiest ways to start collecting money online in Jamaica.
