Browsing Events and View Tickets

This article explains how to browse available events and view ticket options using the SpurrOpen Partner API. These endpoints are typically used at the beginning of the ticket purchase flow to help customers discover events and select tickets. 


GET /events

  • What it does: Returns a list of all available events that can be sold through your integration.
  • When to use it: Use this endpoint to display an event catalog, browse upcoming events, or allow customers to search and discover events within your platform.
  • What you get: Event IDs, event names and descriptions, dates and times, locations or venue details, associated event media, and pagination support.

GET /events/{id}

  • What it does: Returns detailed information for a specific event.
  • When to use it: Use this endpoint when a customer selects an event to view full details before choosing tickets.
  • What you get: Full event descriptions, schedules, venue information, and associated event images or media.

GET /events/{id}/tickets

  • What it does: Returns all ticket types available for a selected event.
  • When to use it: Use this endpoint to display ticket options, pricing, and availability after an event has been selected.
  • What you get: Ticket IDs, ticket names and descriptions, prices, and current availability status.

GET /events/{id}/tickets/{id}

  • What it does: Returns detailed information for a specific ticket type, including any purchase requirements.
  • When to use it: Use this endpoint when you need to display ticket-specific details or collect required purchaser or attendee information.
  • What you get: Detailed ticket descriptions, pricing and availability, purchase rules or restrictions, and required fields for ticket purchase.
